To Bob (from somebody who will identify herself- bigger huevos than you, I am sure)

The person who is sickeningly uninformed is you. To get right to the point of the matter, the people who are paying for this supposed law enforcement should have some sort of say as to where their money goes. They should also be properly informed. The people who have "no huevos" are the people who sent those notices that said "recipient" on the front of them instead of our names or proper information on the matter. They’re the ones who want to keep everyone anonymous, without a voice. The people who are passing out flyers are informing our neighbors since no one else has. (They have never bad mouthed others or forced their opinion on anyone, like you are doing.) If you have money to throw around, good for you. Feel free to keep disregarding this issue as well as this letter and follow the rest of the herd. As for the rest us, the good old, hardworking, American, disintegrating middle class who already gives a good 40% of their money for law enforcement or whatever else gets another rich guy elected, well…we would at least like to be heard instead of bullied by people like you. Calling 911 when our houses get egged? Speeding shortcuts past Palm? Nice generalizations, but those things do not even apply to me and it would be irrelevant, regardless. But perhaps you should call 911, if you are so bothered by it, you poor thing. I am not a renter in this area, (also irrelevant), but the only thing that makes me want to move are people like you. How the hell would you know what is "comfy" to me, anyway? Another petty generalization. Perhaps you’d be more "comfy" moving someplace off of Herndon toward the Bluffs so you can play golf all day and live in a gated community. That should make you feel safer. It disgusts me that you are so ignorant to the struggle of people who are less fortunate than you. As well as the right to decide where our money goes. Although, I must say, I’m thankful for your letter, as it is the prime example of the stupidity that goes hand in hand with this sort of negativity and people who support this annexation. (Hitler had effective "law enforcement" too. Who’s going to baby-sit the babysitter? Should we just continue to write checks without checking to read the names that we make them out to, or care where our money is going to or why? When you go to the store do you just throw everything in your basket because you might need it, or do you check to read the labels and the price tags?) The law enforcement that we already have has nothing better to do other than cruise up and down the streets hunting down parking violations, anyway. Maybe our law enforcement should move to Effie and Belmont since that is where those poor, stupid, thugs and minorities all live. (I am basically paraphrasing the point that I got from your letter.) If you really cared about people’s welfare then you wouldn’t make statements such as "I would hope the Sheriff's Dept. is taking a long break and does not respond." You obviously have some anger issues to attack people who have different views and goals than you. Maybe you should spend your $225 on getting into some anger management classes. Since it is your money, I will leave that up to you. If you are an example of the kind of cop who will be patrolling our area, then you’ve only reaffirmed my stance this issue.
